Development Coordinator

·      Prepare targeted proposals for submission to public and private funding sources for all town projects (e.g.: tourism; events; infrastructure).

·      Write grant applications, grant project reports, updates and final reports for all projects/agreements the Town is signatory on.

·      Manage and maintain website content, social media accounts, photography and videos relating to Economic Development Initiatives and  programs. 

·      Update any Economic Development/Transition business listings on Townofcoronach.ca

Tourism Director

·     Assist and support execution of special and annual events collaborating with organizers.

·      Working within the regional tourism plan, and with the Regional Specialist, prepares and executes tourism promotion and marketing projects.

·      Manages the seasonal visitor centre.

·      Partner with the Old Coronach Street Market group to promote and support August 29th, 2020 event

·      Develops new tourism attractions if deemed feasible e.g.: railway trail to Big Beaver; Leads Steering committee for Coal Interpretative Centre if it is feasible.

Business Development &
Transition Coordinator

·      Act as the primary point of contact for business development. This includes provision of information and referrals to individuals and businesses regarding entrepreneurship, training, and business planning; organizing business engagement events. Work with Regional Specialist and the CFDC.

·       Identify business and economic development opportunities and work on a business  attraction plan for the region including development of incentives. With support of the Regional Specialist.

·       Develop and implement employee skills training in concert with the Regional Specialist.

·       Responsible for community beautification/ enhancements
