Province of Saskatchewan – update
Here is the update as of late yesterday for the Province and the declared state of emergency. Utility Staff are currently maintaining the town, and the town’s systems while physically distancing themselves from others to ensure their own health and safety. The Town Council will be discussing other concerns you may have regarding bill payments, upcoming tax assessments and related bills and we are following the protocols in our Town of Coronach Emergency measures plan should there be any locally identified cases of COVID-19.
In our EMO plan, Section 5.4 covers “PANDEMIC”
In the event of a pandemic in the Town of Coronach, it could reduce the available workforce significantly. Recommended actions include.
- Contact the Centre for Disease control.
- Contact the Health Centre for assistance.
- Obtain masks from the local suppliers and distribute.
- Aid elderly individuals as necessary.
- Consider a quarantine site for those who are sick.
We will be following all updates and instructions from the Provincial Government. Facilities are closed to the public include Sportsplex, Community Hall and the Town Office.
We are watching http://www.saskatchewan.ca/COVID19 for any updates.
Thank you for being mindful of those who are vulnerable, and thank you to our local retailers who are staying open for the community and taking extra precautions for our safety.
