Bylaw 1.2026 Tax Rates, Incentives & Penalties for 2026

At Town Council’s special meeting on April 9, 2026, Town Council accepted their 2026 Budget with a proposed tax increase of five percent. Resolutions were also made to increase the mill rate from 11.0 to 11.1 and increase the base tax from $780 to $845 for land/improvements assessments. The minimum tax for land assessments will remain at $600 (same as 2025). The mill rate factors for residential (1.27), commercial (1.28), and ag (1.25) will remain the same as 2025. Town Council will be considering  Bylaw 1.2026 at their May 12, 2026 Council Meeting in Council Chambers at 6:00p.m.
